1. Window orientation and natural light
For south- or west-facing windows, we recommend semi-transparent fabrics combined with blackout curtains on a double track. This lets you control light throughout the day without sacrificing privacy at night.
- South / west — voile + blackout or dim-out
- North — denser materials in warm tones
- East — light voiles with no light restrictions
2. Proportions and ceiling height
Mounting curtains as close to the ceiling as possible (or on the ceiling) creates the illusion of a taller space. Total curtain width should be 1.5–2 times the window width for generous folds when drawn.
